State Sen. Sue Landske has dedicated her life to public service as an elected official and as a Colonel in the National Guard Reserve.
A member of the Indiana State Senate since 1984, Landske, who serves as Assistant President Pro Tempore, represents Senate District 6, which is composed of all or portions of Benton, Lake, Newton and Porter counties.
She chairs the Senate Committee on Elections and is a member of the Senate Committees on Appointments and Claims, Local Government and Tax and Fiscal Policy. Landske also works on the national level through her involvement with the National Conference on State Legislatures, Council of State Governments and Midwest Council of State Legislatures.
Landske has also been very active in various civic activities including the Business and Professional Women, the League of Women Voters, the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and the Mid-Lake and Newton County Republican Women’s Clubs. She is the past Vice-Chair of the Lake County Republican Party and currently serves as vice chairman of District 1 of the Indiana Republican Party.
Her dedication to her community and the state have been recognized through a variety of honors and awards including the Sagamore of the Wabash, Business and Professional Woman of the Year in 1985 and Jaycees Citizen of the Year in 1991.
Landske received her education at St. Joseph’s College, Indiana University and the University of Chicago. She and her husband William own All Golfcar Inc. They have five children and eight grandchildren.
